Job Title:Operations Supervisor
Description:

Position:  Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Key responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):

  • Comply with all safety and quality standards and requirements.
  • Responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the warehouse.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and housekeeping of the area assigned.
  • Plan production and schedule warehouse work load.
  • Manage physical inventory and cycle counting and adjust inventory as needed.
  • Schedule incoming/outgoing materials.
  • Prepare/check shipping documents.
  • Conduct safety audits and ensure safety violations are addressed.
  • Assist in incident investigations.
  • Process Service Reports.
  • Maintain non-conforming product areas, determine suspect product status, and manage disposals.
  • Plan production and schedule work load.
  • Manage physical inventory of product.
  • Process inventory transfers.
  • Order required equipment.
  • Maintain logs/forms as appropriate.
  • Supervise personnel, complete training and performance appraisals.
  • Cultivate growth and leadership skills.
  • Resolving disciplinary issues.
  • Participate and Lead in spill cleanup response.
  • Uphold the fundamentals of the Nicholson Nine and Responsible Care Guiding Principles.

Required Education / Training / Equivalent Experience (prior to hire / transfer):

 

  • Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Production related experience and/or training.
  • Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Knowledge of chemical hazards and labeling requirements.
  • Knowledge of chemical segregation requirements.
  • Familiarity with ISO-9001 concepts.
  • Knowledge of EEOC, OSHA, MIOSHA, EPA and other employment laws, and federal safety regulations.
  • Ability to problem solve and lead teams.
  • Computer literate and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • People / team oriented.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

 

OJT (Required within the initial employment period – varies per position and experience):

  •  Applicable ADAGE skills.
  • Basic understanding of ISO / QS-9000.
  • Problem / crisis resolution.
  • Basic understanding of PVS Nolwood Quality Management System.
  • Understand applicable procedures, work instructions, forms, checklists, etc…
  • Service Report system.
  • Training requirements from the New Employee Checklist.
